Good location
Our reservation could not be found by the hotel but they did their best to find us a room. The replacement room was old and it smelt of smoke on the way. You could tell it wasn’t a usual reservation room because it was out of the way, a little mouldy and the shower didn’t work.
The hotel is well placed near the subway (main city circle train) and busses.

The Best part of our Hotel experience was the Executive Floor person named Jovana! She not only helped us make arrangements for plans, but was able to communicate!
The Indian Porter was also Extremely Helpful!
The Front desk personnel could not speak any English which mad it VERY DIFFICULT!

A Lovely Traditional Hotel!
The Presidential Beijing is a traditional hotel near the subway. In a hood neighborhood. Although we had some language barriers, the staff made every effort to be helpful and accommodating. The lobby is beautiful and we enjoyed cocktails there each evening! Our room with a king size bed was very large and well furnished. The bathroom is slightly dated and needed some refreshing but it was clean and well supplied. Our only challenge was that the AC had not yet been turned on for the season. Upon request we were provided a fan which saved the day - and out sleep. Overall, this hotel is beautiful and very reasonable for such great accomodations in a wonderful city. We would stay again and recommend this place to all travelers.

Great value for the price.
Stayed Five nights. Overall great value for the money. Close to the metro. Staff very friendly. Most spoke some English. A few problems with the safe. Also, the desk requested multiple copies of my passport because they could not find it.

Acceptable but could be better
The location is great. It would be better if the hotel could improve the bathroom fittings and the boiler.

Hotel needs a little attention!
Two weeks at this hotel - have stayed here before - and the place has gone downhill a little.
Furniture is a little shabby and management needs to take steps to enforce the recently-regulated interior smoking ban.

Great location and a decent hotel
The hotel is strategically located - at most 5 minutes walk to the train station and near to the financial street. Stayed a total of 4 nights for a conference which was held in the same hotel - saved me a lot of hussles of travelling. Hotel itself is at most a 4-star standard but you basically get what you need for a hotel stay and the price is decent if you pay anything below USD80. Overall I'm satisfied though not pleasantly surprised.

Not to International standards
They did not offer the room I ordered. Were to give me a smoking room when I ordered non smoking. Gave me queen when I needed king. Upgraded me to "deluxe" when it was the worse hotel room I stayed on my China trip. Only the manager speaks reasonable English and all of the rest say they do but you get very tired of teaching English to them.
