Go somewhere else

The elevator made grinding noises and shook so bad, we never rode it again for fear of our lives. We witnessed other guests getting off the elevator feeling the same way. The front desk staff were unaccomodating and unfriendly. We called and spoke with front desk about our tv not working and no one even attempted to look at it. The clock in the pool was an hour behind, so we werent aware we were in there past the time the pool closed, and the hotel staff were so unfriendly and mean when they came in to clean. The hot tub capacity is 3, making it very difficult for guests to share the hot tub. The water pressure in our shower head was non existant. There was hair in our bed and all over the toilet seat upon arrival, and one of the sinks wouldnt drain. The hall carpets were unkempt and dirty. The continental breakfast was basic, at best, and breakfast time ends unreasonably early. For how old and unkempt the building was, it would have been nice to at least have a friendly face at the front desk and a clean room, but this La Quinta didnt offer even that much. My daughter had brand new white shoes with white soles, that she had never worn anywhere else but the hotel room, and the bottom of her shoes were black before we left.

Noise Issue

We spent one night at the hotel in a room that had king sized beds in separate rooms with a shared bathroom and a connecting door. The wall between the rooms did nothing to cancel the noise from the television. There was also a lot of freeway noise at night.

Adequate.

Everything was mostly fine. It's a very loud stay. Constant banging in the halls and rooms above, likely kids running around. Very loud bathroom fan, enough to disrupt sleep. Bad breakfast - runny eggs, runny oatmeal, overcooked sausage. No coffee lids.

Not good

We arrived about 10 PM, there were three of us and we were “upgraded“ to a king size room, which is not what we wanted, but what they gave us. We just wanted to go to sleep, but we couldn’t because there was only the one bed in the room, so after about 20 minutes, they finally brought a rollaway bed & it was horrific. I might as well have been lying on the springs without a mattress. I inquired if we could get a 2nd mattress to put on it & they had nothing else available. I then asked if we could get a different room, because this was simply not going to work at all. They offered a second room free of charge, but I was not going to send my child to the second room by herself, which was on an entirely different floor of the hotel. When I refused that, they finally offered a room with 2 queen beds, which is what I had reserved in the first place, and they said just give us about 15 minutes and we’ll have it ready for you. Why had they not offered that in the first place, because at this point, we’ve been waiting & trying to figure something out for almost 45 minutes. So finally, about 11 o’clock we were in a room and able to go to bed. It was definitely cleaner than the 1st room, which appeared to have some sort of black glue around the edge of the bathroom. The room w/queen size beds only had 2 towels in there, but at that point, I didn’t really care. My daughter’s bed had hair in it, not on it, but in it. Both beds were horrible, the worst nights rest I’ve had in a long time.

Eeeh! Kind of stay..

Our stay was Eeeh! Not what we saw on the advertisement for that motel. A family had sick kids in the pool and throwing up. So My kids and I got sick by the next morning. The floor was too cold. The A/c heating system had cold air leaking in from the wall it was places on. Tree Bugs were on the floor. Not enough wash cloth. Bed was old to sleep on. I could feel the springs in the Mattress. And we stayed in room 209.
