For the money, and the proximity to where I needed to be for business, this place was great. Clean and well maintained, good hot showers, and the breakfast looked fantastic though I didn't have time to partake any morning I was there.
The one bad thing about the location is that it is loud. Nearby Davidstraße is the part of town with lots of bars, liquor stores, dancing clubs, erotica and such. The aftermath of those businesses sometimes wanders down Erichstraße pass this hotel, so you'll hear some yelling and breaking glass bottles. There is also a bar next to the hotel, and I presume from all the shouting and cheering that it's popular with sports fans. One night, it went on until 4 a.m. On the plus side, the room's windows are excellent and, when closed, block out most of the noise - as well as the cool air.
One other comment is a security issue. The hotel makes a point to ask that you leave your room key at the desk whenever you leave. I don't usually like to signal so easily when my room is empty, but they were insistent - and at least there is a safe in the room, and I usually took my computer with me for work. The thing is that when you come back and ask for your key, only once over an entire week did one of the desk clerks even ask my name before handing me the key. Usually I just asked for room X and they handed over the key, no questions. I mentioned this several times but the practice did not change. So be aware.
