The night I arrived the National Championship game was televised apparently everywhere except my hotel room. I called front desk, they routed me to technical support, I explained my issue and was hung up on. I wasn't too impressed with the unprofessional tone I received from front desk explaining my issues so I just decided to try and find an alternative spot. The first night I wasn't too bothered by the constant humming from the elevator but when it combined with the horribly loud wall AC unit I was just beside myself in disbelief.
For dinner I decided to try the food court, huge mistake, the sodium levels in the food were bad, I couldn't tell if it was to preserve the food or to mask the bland flavor. The sad story is that I visited this hotel in 1999 with my wife and we had the best time of our life, $1 bowling and $1 beers, I wasn't seeking the same nostalgic feeling but I didn't want to sour my memories with this experience. Unfortunately the aged worn out Casino will never see the lights shine as bright as they used too. Highlights, check in and checkout were quick and easy, the per night rate is awesome on a budget, water pressure was decent, water temperature lacked regulator.
