The place was lacking in general upkeep and cleanliness. Our room was in need of some repair, there were empty beer bottles outside the rooms when we arrived that were never picked up. There were dogs wandering around. The room had a gas range but smoke detectors were kept in a drawer.

Spent 7 days at Seaside and had a really great time, everyone was so friendly! When it was time to leave I felt like I was saying goodbye to family. Restaurant was great , drivers were amazing , front office was always responsive. Only thing that made me a little sad is no coffee in the room for when you wake up. It still deserves 5 stars I will miss everyone, especially my little friend Mushroom (the pug)

A slice of paradise
What a beautiful slice of paradise! Plenty of amenities onsite with a salt water pool, access to the ocean and the nearby river, and the restaurant meals were so yummy! The staff was so friendly and helpful (especially Mushroom the office pug), highly recommend the Sea Side Chateau to anyone traveling to Belize!

Honestly, the beauty of the grounds and Mr Ellis are the reason I recommend this hotel. The grounds, pool, and close proximity to the international airport are reasons to book. We did have an unfortunate issue with transportation. I reached out to the owners to express my dismay on no one coming to get at the local air terminal. I shared would not write a complaint but since they seemed to ignore my issue ai do think any further guests should be aware that you cannot rely on their transportation for a pick up. Truly regrettable. If we hadn’t of met a Good Samaritan —we would still be at the local airport.
