Nice, at first glance.
Be sure to read the fine print. Pet fees are not charged until checkout. If you have to leave because of other unruly guests letting their kids run through the halls at all hours and waking up your small children, don’t expect more than a shrug and a “sorry”. Initially thought this was a decent place to stay, but only on the surface. Look around before you spend your money here. When there was frustration over being unable to communicate with a housekeeper who didn’t speak English, the reply was that they could relay whatever I needed if I just told the front desk. Not exactly convenient.

2nd year staying at this property
We chose this hotel because last year we were so impressed with how nice it was. This year some of that shine was off. There was hair all over the bathroom and nail clippings in the carpet. The shower dripped all night and then wouldn't turn on in the morning. The sheets didn't fit the kids' bed very well. Overall the cleanliness of the room could have been better but the beds were comfortable and room was spacious. The staff we encountered was all very nice and helpful. The location for the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village worked out great and its in a nice area. We will stay here again.

Pretty good, but....
Went to Detroit to have a Tiger Baseball weekend with my wife. We arrived too late on Friday to attent the game soe we went to dinner and then to the room to watch the rest of Friday's game. My only complaint of the weekend was that the hotel tv didn't have Bally Sports Channel! How can that happen in Detroit?? We couldn't watch the game in the room. We take frequent trips to Detroit to watch sporting events. We want to watch the games on tv when we can't attend the night before the day we have tickets. Unfortunately we won't come back to your location because of this and will find a hotel that does carry the local games on Bally sports.

The exterior of the building and common areas was in good repair. Our room was disappointing. The shower was moldy and the bathroom floor had hair on it. The toilet paper was empty. The pillows for the spare bed were stained and there was the last guests trash in the can. The employees were friendly. The location was convenient to our destination.

Our room was clean and staff was very friendly and accommodating. Anything we needed they brought it to us within minutes. Breakfast was always good. They served a variety of things such as omelettes, waffles, biscuits and gravy, cereal, bagels, yogurt and different juices. No issues with parking. Check in and check out was very fast and no issues. Our room also had a dish washer, microwave and refrigerator which was also nice. It was also very quiet no noise at all. Swimming pool was nice. Laundry room and gym was clean as well. The area was also nice and right across from the Southfield mall. Lots of stores and restaurants close by. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Customer Service
Whittney was so wonderful and the front desk ladies were respectful and nice. Same with the early morning crew serving breakfast. Very friendly. The rooms were mostly clean, sheets fresh but there was dog or human hair on the floor and in the shower. Someone on my floor also had a dog and the hotel can smell like dogs frequent the place at times. Not a big deal if you are an animal lover.
