Salcombe is a lovely location for some peace and tranquillity (out of season). Lovely shops and public houses to enjoy with beautiful views and walks definitely a place to visit.

Good
We had rubbish weather but managed to get the ferry across to the beaches and had a great walk around the coastline. Some nice sandy coves there. Salcombe is a nice place

Excellent
I've been visiting Salcombe for nearly 40 years, since I was a child. One of my favourite places.
"A very comfortable stay at SHH. All of the staff were amazing and really made everyone feel valued. A stunning location and easy walking distance into town - will definitely be back! "
"Clean and super convenient property. Good amenities, great garden and super comfy beds. Difficult to get hold of the management company prior to arrival. But other than that, great property and a good location. "
"This property is need of a lot of repair. Leaks through the ceiling, peeling paint, the water tank is a real issue - you may run out of drinking water! Marks and holes in walls through the property. It is not a virtual check in you have to go collect the keys. We lost two hours trying to get hold of virtual check in. Microwave sounds like it’s going to explode and dishwasher doesn’t work. Really terrible stay. The only plus is there’s a lovely view"
"We had an amazing room, The Penthouse, with beautiful views of the coast. Had a very warm welcome. We did repeatedly say the trip was to celebrate our Ruby wedding Anniversary but this was not acknowledged! The interior decor and setting is beautiful.
We had dinner and room service, food was nice but menu was the similar and a bit limited but other days we found so many nice places to eat. The breakfast was nice, especially eating on the terrace but was let down by having to make your own hot drinks at the buffet with poor quality tea bags. There were so many dogs even in the restaurant and unfortunately dog poo in the grounds although obviously this was the owners fault it was rather off putting. We had some lovely walks along the coastal path and down to the beach, very steep on the return! "
"The stay was fantastic.
Just one issue was the lack of response from the emergancey contact number on the hotels.com confirmation email.....when we could not get in the property, and the key was not in the key safe!.....still waiting for an answer to our call & text.....very poor.
We managed to find the key, and text the owners, who replied promptly and were lovely."
