"we had an amazing time at mission bay! staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. everyone greeted you while passing by which was nice. the room with the balcony facing the ocean is absolutely beautiful! the pools were clean and the watersides are lots of fun. the cabanas are worth getting. the best part is you have it booked all day, you can leave, come back, and still have your cabana! food at the pelican is a pricey but good! "I’ve been staying at the Surfer since I was little and this was the first time as an fault I stayed. The two men working the desk were amazing! If you’re looking for a beach front hotel with everything walking distance this is the place to stay! Also if you like going out at night definitely recommend theirs lots of clubs and places open. Found out my grandma has been taking my mom here when she was little to! The restaurant attatched is yummy and the views during the day are serene looking out...

"Really good value hotel. Clean and well run. Breakfast was surprisingly good with hot eggs and good coffee. The immediate neighborhood is mostly large car dealers but it's not far from mission bay and PB. The sushi place in the strip mall is supposed to be one of the best restaurants in SD. "
