Hotels in Villa Romana

"The hotel is a treat ~ think old world charm with mosaics and frescoed walls. One the rooms (it was the suite) we stayed in was actually the Chapel for the family in the 1700's and Pope Gregorian himself actually slept in our room! When we arrived, Marco greeted us and made us comfortable with drinks and snacks in the courtyard. He made reservations for our dinner and hired a driver for us all the while kept us thoroughly entertained. We were even able to meet the owner, a true gentleman, who told me it was his life dream to own this hotel. "

Not quite in walking distance of town (with hot weather). The attached photo does not do justice to the view of the valley below."
